Win a luxurious weekend at Kokohuia Lodge (competition closed)

To help us celebrate the spirit of Valentines day this year, our friends Steve and Suzanne at Kokohuia Lodge are offering their amazing luxury retreat for a romantic weekend to remember.

Kokohuia Lodge
Is an eco B&B with stunning views of the Hokianga Harbour in Te Tai Tokerau (Northland). Set above the native bush, and accommodating only one couple, it’s sophisticated and private. Guests are able to relax and recharge to the sounds of native birdsong, and drift off to the sound of the sea and Moreporks. The sustainably designed lodge was inspired by the form of a leaf resting on the ground and works harmoniously in an environment that includes a hectare of native bush, maturing orchards and organic gardens. Delicious breakfasts  are prepared using home-grown or local produce wherever possible and a delicious evening meal is available on request.

Plus 4 ecostore pamper packs to be won!
To complete the ultimate weekend experience, ecostore will be giving the winning couple a sumptuous ecostore pamper pack filled with goodies. And if you miss out on the weekend escape, don’t worry, you still have a chance to win one of the three more pamper pack prizes. Each pack includes: Hand Wash Rose & Cardamon 250ml, Body Wash Orange & Patchouli 400ml, Hand Cream Extra Moisturising 75ml, Body Lotion Light Moisturising 220ml, Coconut Soap 80g, Lemongrass Soap 80g, all packed in a wooden gift box made from untreated, sustainably sourced New Zealand Pine, with artwork by John Reynolds.

I would take the love of my life, Eamon, who has taught me so much more about sustainable living than I knew, who has introduced me to new concepts such as permaculture, who is slowly helping me to become an awesome gardener, who supports me in practices that I want to learn and pursue such as beekeeping, who encourages me to seek and incorporate indigenous knowledge from our Maori/Polynesian backgrounds into what it means to live sustainably, who shares my vision to live from the land and spread this way of living amongst our respective families and communities, who inspires me to walk the talk. My best friend, my lover, my inspiration to be a better version of myself everyday! I would take Eamon because I can see very clearly now that we would use the time to learn as many new things about the different technologies used at Kokohuia as we could, as well as share an experience of our love for nature and the outdoors in the beautiful surroundings. I would take Eamon because he gives and gives to so many in his life, and I'd love to be able to give back to him.

I would take my husband. It would be a lovely getaway for us as a 'babymoon' before the birth of our first baby. This is just the sort of place that would be perfect for us grin
