Try these Instagrammers for eco and wellness inspiration

If we’re already living sustainably and making conscious decisions, as well as keeping healthy each day, it can be hard to find new ideas. One way we’ve been able to find inspiration from people who are committed to the health of the planet, as well as themselves and their families, is by following different Instagram accounts. That’s because the people behind these accounts capture visual highlights based on how their expert subject can best be portrayed.

We’ve compiled a few accounts we think it would be worth following for sustainability and wellness inspiration – if you have favourites of your own, do let us know by leaving a comment.

Green With Me

If you think about all the challenges facing the environment and find solutions a daunting prospect, these guys are worth a visit. The website shares really encouraging content to remind us that we can play a part – and that by doing so our contributions add up to a significant global impact. The Instagram feed is more wordy than many, but each post has some positive news from around the world about sustainability gains.




Shift is another platform on a mission to promote sustainable decision making. It began as a blog showcasing ethical businesses and now covers many aspects of eco living, like and zero waste with a big emphasis on fashion.

Milkwood Permaculture

This is the place to come if you’re green thumbed and keen to learn about permaculture skills and principles. Those are things like home gardening, beekeeping, sustainable agriculture and system design, and natural building. Milkwood’s feed is full of images of the spoils of these production practices.


Lola Berry

Nutritionist and yogi Lola Berry’s Instagram is packed with healthy food and wellness inspiration. Her posts show the amazing spots she travels to, some delicious dishes and lots of great yoga poses.


Jessica Sepel – JS Health Jessica’s blog is full of images of the kind of food you’d really like to try making and eating, as well as some videos of her recipes and some yoga and fitness snaps. Her journey to these foodie heights came after a struggle with body image, dieting and over exercise, but now she is a big believer in choosing nourishing foods that suit individuals.


The Fit Foodie Fit foodie Sally is one busy lady – she’s a health blogger and stylist who also studies nutritional medicine, founded a healthy snacks company and teaches yoga. She develops recipes for national magazines and has written a cookbook, Love, Move, Eat.
